Captain Jack: Tell me about Serena Blair.

Serena Blair: I grew up in LA and was always kind of a book worm. I was the academic type and started college early. One day I decided I was over school after having been in school for so many fucking years. And it turned out I was cut off from parental financial report for my courses, and those are pretty expensive, and that is what led me to porn initially. I wanted to get into it because I wanted to make a quick buck. But the longer I’m in it, the more I like it and realize I’m pretty good at it and this is what I want to keep doing.

CJ: How old are you?

Serena: 27.

CJ: How long have you been in the industry?

Serena: About four years. I started in February of 2011.

CJ: Are you lesbian in real life or are you bisexual?

Serena: Yes. I had done a couple of boy/girl scenes when I first started. I didn’t know you were supposed to save yourself. You make a bigger deal out of it. If you’re first scene is double anal, then there’s nothing left. CJ: Did that open up the floodgates? Were you promiscuous after that?

Serena: I wouldn’t say that I was fully into my sexuality as I am now. I was still really shy about it, I was pretty insecure. Just being in the environment where it’s totally normal and encouraged like porn, it kind of changed my mindset. (laughs)

CJ: If you were shy and at first got into it to make a quick buck, that’s a pretty big jump. How and why did you decide to get into the adult industry?

Serena: I’m a very stubborn person. I was terrified, especially doing Kink, because it looks a lot scarier on video. I had in my head that it probably wasn’t going to be as bad as it looked. I didn’t want to do anything illegal. I lived close to Kink at the time and kind of made up my mind. I did a lot of ballroom dancing when I was younger before I grew out of it. I tried to bring back that persona. One of my best friends was my dance teacher. He was always the center of attention, he always had girls and guys throwing themselves at him. I pretty much pretended to be the female version of him for awhile until it started to feel normal. I just suppressed all my fears and just went for it.

CJ: Does your family know what you do?

Serena: Nope.

CJ: Most girls say everyone they grew up with finds out within two months.

Serena: You know, I expected that. I expected at the very least, within the first two years. Then the second year went by, the third year went by… it wasn’t like I was going to tell them now. Let’s see how long I can take this.

CJ: How did you come up with your stage name?

Serena: I liked the name Blair originally. I was mulling using it as a first name then used it as a last name. Then I wanted an S name and Serena just stuck. It doesn’t have anything to do with Gossip Girl. (laughs)

CJ: I saw you in Carter’s Anal College and you have one of the prettiest pussies I’ve ever seen!

Serena: Well thank you. (laughs)

CJ: Do you have any favorite scenes?

Serena: They’re like all of my favorites, each one of them. I can think back to each one of them and remember something that I cherish and was especially wonderful.
