Captain Jack: Tell me about Nikki Zee.
Nikki Zee: I am from Michigan originally, a small town. I grew up pretty sheltered. After a divorce, I decided I wanted to move out to California, I have some family there. That was something that I wasn’t able to do when I was married so I moved. In 2015, I moved to Southern California and loved it. I had to learn to be on my own. I picked up a lot of hobbies there; anything I could try like surfing, skateboarding, I went hiking a lot, just a lot of physical activities, whatever I could do. Was I good at it? No. (laughs) In 2020, I decided after being on my own for a while, I bought a house. It’s the progression of life but I found out very quickly that I could not afford a house in California. (laughs) I was traveling to Vegas quite often for work and I had a sister that lived out there so I moved out there in 2021. I bought a house and my mortgage is the same as my rent was for a 1-bedroom apartment in San Diego.
CJ: How old are you?
Nikki: I am 33. I’m a late bloomer in porn. I was 29 when I started.
CJ: You have some nice breasts, what size are they?
Nikki: So, that’s debatable. I’ve always thought I was a 34 C. I don’t know if bra sizes have changed in recent years but someone measured me and we punched the measurements in Google and it says 32 Double D. I said, ‘Hmm, that doesn’t seem right.’ But when I tried on a 32 Double D bra, it fit perfectly. So, somewhere in that range! (laughs)
CJ: You have a few tattoos. How many do you have?

Nikki: A couple favorites. One is on my forearm that is a UFO. Most of my work is American traditional which is my favorite style. This one is a UFO in the desert which is funny because it was way before I moved to Vegas. My second favorite is on my leg. It’s a Jurassic Park jeep that says, “Hold Onto Your Butts!’
CJ: When did you get your first one?
Nikki: I got my first tattoo at 18. I was kind of an asshole about it. I got a pink ribbon that now is just grey that says ‘Mom” on my ribs. My mom’s alive but I got that and a little star behind my ear. I told my mom, ‘Don’t be mad but I got a tattoo! And it’s for you!’ Over the years, we evolve and me and my mom have several matching tattoos.
CJ: Were you a very sexual person before you entered the industry?
Nikki: I was. I always was in a monogamous long-term relationships but within the relationship, yes, pretty sexual, high sex drive. Even in my younger years, early adulthood, that was kind of what led to my divorce. The sex drive portion of it wasn’t being fulfilled. There wasn’t any compatibility there.
CJ: Were you with girls before porn?
Nikki: Yes and no. I had a best friend when I was in college. We did everything together; we held hands, we cuddled, we slept together, we kissed occasionally. It never went beyond that but everyone on our adult cheer team said, ‘You guys are lesbians!’ And we were like, ‘Nooooo!’ I moved to California after dating a few guys and had a pretty gnarly breakup with one guy, I started realizing I was bisexual. CJ: You went to college, did you graduate?
Nikki: Yes, I went to Community College after high school. I went part-time to get my Bachelor’s Degree. I ended up finishing online in California when I moved.
CJ: Did you have any professional jobs before you got into sex work?
Nikki: Oh yeah. I worked retail a lot of my life. Best Buy forever. I worked at the University in the student activities center and the career center. When I moved to California, I ended up falling into a customer service role at a start-up tech company. Then I moved to another tech company doing the same thing, just better pay. I did that all the way until September of last year.
CJ: Why did you decide to cam?
Nikki: That’s a funny story. It was New Year’s Day 2019, I was on Netflix and for a couple of weeks, I saw this ad for ‘Cam’. I kept getting annoyed that they were promoting this movie. So, January 1, I said, ‘Fuck it!’ and I watched this movie. I grew up very sheltered and I had no idea what camming was. So, when I watched this movie about this cam girl, it was a thriller/horror movie, but just learning about camming, I was, ‘Whaaaaaaat? This is a thing?’ After I watched the movie, I immediately hopped on Google and searched it up. I found this girl that had done non-nude camming and she had a YouTube vlog. I dove in, watching all her videos and then I discovered MyFreeCams because of her. I then went on that site and I watched some shows to get an idea of what people do. At the time, I was living with a roommate and I was struggling with a lot of credit card debt from dumb decisions when I was young. I was hurting for money, this is California! My ex-boyfriend had moved out and my roommate and myself were covering two ways instead of three ways, so part of it was definitely financially driven. Another part of it was, I’m really shy. (laughs) I liked the idea of being able to practice being social in a setting where I’m not going out to a bar and it’s hard to get away from someone or whatever. I thought it was a great way to express myself sexually and just practice being social. If someone makes me uncomfortable, I block them. If something happens, I log off. It’s safe. So, that was actually my biggest motivator.
CJ: What was it like when you first started? You’re in a room by yourself but then all these guy are coming in. Was that strange?
Nikki: (laughs) I came into thinking, ‘I’m going to do what this Ashley girl did and I’m going to be a non-nude model.’ My first livestream, I think that lasted a half hour and then tits were out!
