Captain Jack: Tell me about Matti Mars.
Matti Mars: I was born and raised in Utah, I’ve always lived in Utah which is really funny for a lot of people because it’s a super religious state. I am 26, I was born in 1997. In school, I was on student council, I was a high honor student. I was Little Miss Good Girl. I was the Teacher’s Pet. I loved photography and videography so I’ve always been into digital media. People always ask if I’m Mormon when they find out I’m from Utah and it’s like why would you even ask something like that? My parents were both raised really, really Mormon so they thought that’s just what you do so they raised their family Mormon. I was in the church until I was 11 and then my dad wasn’t really into it anymore and pulled us out. I grew up with a lot of sex shame. Growing up in a religious state around a lot of religious people, you feel really guilty about having any thoughts or feelings about sex. Matti: Yes. To answer your earlier question, I guess that’s how I started all of this. But I had to quit because it was causing rifts in my relationship at the time.
