Captain Jack interviews Karen Fisher

Captain Jack: Tell me about Karen Fisher.

Karen Fisher: I am from Portland, OR, specifically the suburb of Beaverton. I grew up pretty normal. Nothing really out of the ordinary. I had a pretty close family, I was an only child. We all got along greatly. It was a pretty unremarkable childhood. (laughs)

CJ: Can I ask how old you are?

Karen: I’m 38.

CJ: How long have you been in the industry?

Karen: Oh my goodness. I’ve had my own website for about 14 years. I’ve only been performing for other companies for about four or five years.

CJ: You have spectacular tits. What size are they?

Karen: I don’t even know. I buy a 36 DDD but that’s just more because it’s harder to find anything bigger than that. It’s a little too small but it works good enough.

CJ: When did you lose your virginity?

Karen: I lost it when I was 18. I waited a long time. I did everything but that beforehand but I was pretty old compared to a lot of people. At that point, all my friends had already had sex so it was time for me. They were always talking about it and I wanted to have some stories to tell as well.

CJ: Were you very promiscuous after that?

Karen: I went through spurts. I had serious boyfriends when I was monogamous but I had periods when I went pretty wild.

Karen: Yes. I can’t remember the exact age but I know it was before I was 21 because we couldn’t legally drink. I had a girlfriend. I knew that I liked women. I dreamed about this one girl in middle school because she had big boobs. It kind of freaked me out at the time because I wasn’t very comfortable with the thought of being bisexual. When you’re young, you want to be like everybody else so it just freaked me out.

CJ: Were you in the corporate world before entering porn?

Karen: I was not. I started out as a dancer. I bartended, I was a waitress, I sold real estate. I sold real estate after I had already done porn. I have a nursing degree but I’ve never actually been a nurse.

CJ: How and why did you decide to get into the adult industry?

Karen: When I was a dancer, the club I worked at always had features. It always seemed so interesting and exciting. I really wanted to try it. I thought about it for a really long time before I actually did it. As fascinated as I was by it, I couldn’t work up the nerve. Finally, one of the girls I worked with had some photos in Score Magazine. She asked if she could send some of my photos in. Two weeks later, they flew me down. I finally just went for it.

CJ: Was there any nervousness when you started filming? I mean all these people are there watching you fuck. What was your first scene like?

Karen: When I first worked with Score, it was just a solo. It was a long day, they had to reset the lights between every single picture they took. I had never done a shoot before so I didn’t realize how much work it was. I definitely didn’t know a lot of things. You would think that it would be easy to play with yourself on video, I mean, how hard is that? But to do it in an interesting way, it was harder than I thought. And, of course, I was very nervous.

CJ: What’s your favorite position?

Karen: I like spoon.

CJ: What do you like sexually? What gets Karen off?

Karen: I would say more sensual.

CJ: Are you submissive or dominant and is it different with men than with women?

I like to hike. I’m going to the Grand Canyon this summer and I’m going to do a full day hike and later this year, I’m going to do a three-day hike. I like outdoorsy stuff.

CJ: What kind of music do you like?

Karen: I like a variety. I do like hip hop. I like pop, I like a little bit of country. I like some rock.

CJ: Do you have any favorite movies?

Karen: That always changes but I’d say my favorite of all-time is The Shawshank Redemption.

CJ: What’s your favorite TV shows?

Karen: That goes in spurts too. I generally don’t watch TV but when I do, I’ll watch an entire season on Netflix in one day. Right now, I’m really into Orange Is The New Black. I know it’s not supposed to be sexual but it’s really exciting in that way to me.

CJ: What’s your favorite food?

Karen: I really like spicy food. I guess my favorite is Thai food, Indian food, stuff like that.

CJ: What’s your favorite thing about porn?

Karen: There’s never a boring day. It’s always interesting, it’s always exciting.
