Jewelz Blu Talks with Captain Jack
Jewelz is a beautiful woman and a very talented performer. I have the utmost respect for Jewelz for many people told her that she would never be successful unless she changed her look. However, she stayed true to herself and is one of the top stars in the industry, currently. I recently had a chance to talk to her and we discuss her life and career!
Captain Jack: Tell me about Jewelz Blu.
Jewelz Blu: I’m from SoCal and live in LA. I’ve been doing mainstream porn for the last 4 ½ years. Before that, I did cam girl stuff and I was a Pro Dom. I’ve done many different things.
CJ: How old are you?
Jewelz: I turned 29 on Sept. 21.
CJ: Before you got into sex work, were you a very sexual person?
Jewelz: I think I was always interested in a lot of sexual things but I think what led me to where I am today, I call it my sexual evolution. I discovered myself and the things I like more and more and being open to those things. So, yes and no. (laughs)
CJ: Which came first, your pro dom work or camwork?
Jewelz: The cam stuff came first. When I turned 18, I first made a profile on MFC because I wanted to try it out. I had followed some cam girls back then and I thought it was fun and cool. And into exhibitionism and the voyeur aspects of being a cam girl. I did that for a year on and off. I stopped doing that for a while and kind of fell off. And then I became a pro dom because I had a friend who was a Dom at the time. We were working together. And when I stopped doing that after 3 years, I got back into doing cam girl stuff. Literally right before I started porn in 2019.
CJ: You said that during your sexual evolution, you learned what you liked and didn’t like. Did you like being a Pro Dom?
Jewelz: I absolutely loved it. I incorporate that into a lot of the content I shoot today. I like a lot of different things that’s why I’ve done a lot of different things. (laughs)
CJ: Were you with girls before porn?
Jewelz: I definitely did fool around with some of my high school best friends before porn. (laughs)
CJ: What is the strangest request you’ve ever received while camming?
Jewelz: Oh my goodness! I’ve gotten so many weird requests over the years! I think the weirdest request I’ve gotten is role playing, like role playing high school girlfriends, their cheerleader crush, stuff like that.
CJ: Why did you make the next step into porn?
Jewelz: It was something that I’ve always wanted to try but never had the guts to do it before. I actually met with some people and met some porn girls through the festival rave scene and they were telling me what it’s like to be in porn. I told them that it was something I always wanted to do. I saw it as the next step in my sex work journey and career. At the time, before porn, I was growing a big social media following through the rave and festival scene. I was already putting myself out there on the internet in that type of way. Porn was always something I wanted to do but I was a little nervous about it. I just thought about it and it’s the art of not giving a fuck and you just have to do it. (laughs)
CJ: I usually ask people how they came up with their stage name but with you, it’s obvious. How long have you had blue hair?
Jewelz: I’ve had my blue hair since 2016 but I was already going by Jewelz before porn. When I started porn, I thought I needed a last name so Blue but take off the ‘e’. Kind of a future vibe.
CJ: So, what was your first scene like? You were sexually experienced but it’s different with all these people around. Were you intimidated? Nervous? Turned on?
Jewelz: The first scene I did was a POV but the first non-POV scene, I wasn’t very nervous at all. It felt really natural to me to be on set and have sex in front of the whole crew. I didn’t think too much about it and didn’t feel awkward or embarrassed. It just felt really natural to me. I was putting on a performance.
CJ: Who was your first scene for?
Jewelz: My first set of scenes were Team Skeet scenes in 2019.
CJ: What’s your favorite position?
Jewelz: Reverse cowgirl.
CJ: For fans that are new to you, what are some of your favorite scenes that you could recommend?
Jewelz: My recommendation to fans to watch me are scenes from 2021 to now. Any of my Brazzers scenes or gonzo scenes. My personal favorite is a solo scene I shot recently for Hentai. I put that on my list of the top 5 scenes I’ve ever done. It was a sci-fi scene with tentacles and my acting in it is really good. And it turned me on. (laughs)
CJ: You’re in your late 20s, do you prefer working with the younger people in the industry or people more your age and older?
Jewelz: I do not like working with young people at all. (laughs) I prefer working with people in my similar age range. I have only worked with a handful of 18-year old people in my 4 ½ years and it’s nothing against younger people but I just feel you’re not sexually mature at that age and I can have better chemistry with people in my age range.
CJ: What do you like sexually? What gets Jewelz wet?
Jewelz: I definitely am a giver. I think it’s the controlling dom aspect within me. I get turned on by other people getting turned on by me. It’s a power trip type thing, I don’t know. (laughs) There’s so much. I definitely love doing a lot of girl/girl type stuff. Just a little bit of everything. I like it when I’m on set and I’m working with someone and they’re enthralled by me. CJ: You worked as a dom. Are you naturally dominant or submissive?
Jewelz: I don’t really see myself as a fully submissive person. I would say, if I had to classify myself, I’m a switch but heavily lean on the dominant energy. In scenes, the female in a boy/girl scene is often seen as having more submissive energy but, for me, I never really feel that way. I feel you can hone in on that dominant energy no matter what you’re doing if you know how to work it. That’s why I say the giving pleasure or the person who is so enthralled by me that they’re trying not to cum, that’s playing with that dominant energy in a sexual way. Like I said, I’m a switch so I can be submissive but I have to be really connected with a person to go there.

CJ: You’re open to working in mainstream, have you had any roles yet?

CJ: You would also like to get into script writing and directing?
Jewelz: Yes. For my own website and my OnlyFans, I produce a lot of super high production value scenes with crazy sets and wardrobes and themes. I’m definitely interested in that. I recently actually had a script that I wrote for a Brazzers scene and I pitched it to them and they booked me for it and shot my script. It was a Blade Runner/cyber parody. I think I have a great stylistic eye for on-camera content. A lot of the things I’ve shot for companies, especially my cosplay scenes, they are always characters that I pitched. I tell them I think it’s going to do well and it’s a trending thing. Also, my audience, for the people who consume my porn, are cosplay fans and ravers, I definitely have my niche audience. (laughs)
CJ: I read that you are setting your sights on pioneering “firsts” in the adult entertainment industry, pushing the boundaries of her craft. What does that mean?
Jewelz: When I first got into porn 4 years ago, the look that I have, I don’t have tattoos, I have colored hair, an egirl type of vibe, that was not a thing. I was told that I wasn’t going to be successful, I was told that I was going to have to dye my hair to make it. I feel like I’ve paved the way for girls who don’t have the full alt look and made it more acceptable. It’s kind of rough out there for us alternative looking girls. Since then, I’ve been seeing more people accept that look and take on a more alternative look as well. I call it a soft-alt because I don’t have any tattoos. I stayed true to my brand and who I am. That’s really corny and cheesy but really true. (laughs) I faced some adversity with my look at the beginning of my career but you can be successful as long as you own it and are true to you.
CJ: And now you’re self-booking too?
Jewelz: It is a lot of work; I’m not going to say it’s super hard but it’s not easy either. I highly encourage any girl out there who is considering self-booking to try it. It is rewarding and I’m very thankful that I have a very supportive fan base and a good reputation in this industry for being professional. I really do value professionalism; I’m very punctual, I’m always on-set with a good attitude. I truly enjoy being on-set; I get great joy being on-set and shooting. It’s truly my calling and I’m very thankful where I am in porn to be able to self-book and do well for myself.
CJ: Before we wrap it up, I do have to ask what size your breasts are.
Jewelz: I think they are a 36D, they’re bought. (laughs)
CJ: What do you look for in a guy off camera?
Jewelz: I actually don’t have a lot of civilian encounters. But the few that I have had, I definitely want someone that has the same interests as me, be into music and likes to have fun and be spontaneous. Looks are a thing but, honestly, what’s attractive to me is when someone’s respectful, gentlemanly. I’m old fashioned when it comes to guys and dating. I like a gentleman and someone who opens the door for you, just stuff like that. (laughs)
CJ: What are you like off-camera? When you have free time, what do you do for fun?
Jewelz: When I’m not filming or doing anything work related, I love going to raves, I love going to festivals, I love hanging out with my friends, I love doing cosplay stuff just for fun. I like hiking and being outdoors, I like traveling and I also like enjoy time where I can do nothing and just veg out. (laughs)
CJ: I hear you’re a Fire Dancer also?
Jewelz: Yes! Before I got into porn, I was a go-go dancer, getting into the festival/rave scene like a lot of my friends did. And I started learning hula hoop dance and I eventually started doing it on fire. It’s mostly self-taught and taught from my Burning Man community. That’s the best way to describe it. I’ve been fire dancing since 2016. I really like it.
CJ: When you first started, did you burn yourself a lot?
Jewelz: Your bound to get a little burned. I call it fire kisses. It’s not a really dangerous burn. You definitely have to get comfortable with the fire. If you’re scared of the fire, you’re more likely to get burned.
CJ: What kind of music do you like?
Jewelz: Top genres that I like to listen to and go see live are Drum and Bass. I like House as well, it’s really fun to dance to. Also, side trance. (laughs)
CJ: Do you have any favorite movies?
Jewelz: Recently, the two movies that I really loved were The Barbie Movie, loved it, and also Pearl.
CJ: What’s your favorite TV shows?
Jewelz: A recent TV show that I watched is a comedy and called, I Think You Should Leave
CJ: What’s your favorite food?
Jewelz: Mangos.
CJ: What’s the wildest or kinkiest thing you’ve ever done in your personal life?
Jewelz: I had a foursome with my at the time boyfriend and two of my best friends. After doing all the crazy things in porn, things seem normal to me! (laughs) I also went to a camping party and did a couples swap with these two people that I met there with my at the time partner.
