Captain Jack: Tell me about Haley Spades.
Haley Spades: I grew up in New Orleans and I lived in the metro area pretty much my whole life. I moved to California after I graduated college and I started shooting porn. I’m pretty nerd; I consider myself a super nerd. I like anime, I love cosplay, I love gaming…I really actually do. I don’t just do it because it’s cool. I read, I travel a lot. CJ: How old are you?
Haley: I’m going to be 26 in September.
CJ: How long have you been shooting now?
Haley: 3 ½ years. I was 22 when I started.
CJ: What did you get your degree in?
Haley: I have a Bacherlor’s in Marketing with a concentration in Sales.
CJ: You are very petite, how tall are you?
Haley: I am 4’8”.
CJ: Were you a very sexual person before you entered the industry?
Haley: Yes. I feel when I started college was when I got more sexually adventurous. I started stripping at 18 so I just liked having all the attention. I was grown up so I could do whatever I wanted! And when I was in college, I actually pursued hooking up with my HR professor. That t happened and we fucked in his office. That was probably the craziest thing before I got into porn. We had opened up the relationship when I started shooting but that relationship failed. I wasn’t really into girls. I consider myself bi but I’m definitely straight leaning. CJ: You started stripping right at 18. How was it the first time you went on stage with all these men leering at you?
Haley: I was scared! It was a Thursday night and it was at one of the Larry Flynt Hustler Clubs on Bourbon Street. They had me do an 11:30pm audition and I was scared shitless! I was scared just taking my top off. But I did it and I got hired and they really liked me. That was the start of it! And I stripped basically all the way up to the time they shut all the clubs down due to Covid.
CJ: Was the club totally nude or topless?
Haley: In New Orleans, it’s only topless. They did not want to say good bye to their liquor license. A lot of states have that rule that if there is liquor being served, it’s topless only.
CJ: How long did it take you to get comfortable stripping?
Haley: I was nervous for the first couple shifts but I think I got used to it because the girls were super nice. I think it’s super scary when you’re freshly 18 and you’re going to do something that your parents will disown you for! (laughs)
CJ: Why did you decide to get into professional porn?
Haley: I had just graduated college in 2020. I had just started OnlyFans like every other girl in the world at that point. I had come from stripping already and I felt pretty comfortable with it. It was definitely nerve wracking at first because I didn’t even have an internet alias. I had to make that switch pretty fast especially when I started getting big just from doing content. Haley: Not exactly. At that time, we had to get Covid tests for every shoot which was a lot especially since I was working a lot at that time. I think it was every 3 shoots or something, I don’t remember the specifics. I think that was the hardest part. It got better and when I moved to California, I moved to Orange County. I actually didn’t have too bad a time. I think I arrived at the perfect time. I didn’t have too many challenges.
CJ: So, you had done OnlyFans but what was your first professional shoot like? It’s different with the cameras and all these people around. Were you intimidated? Nervous? Turned on?
Haley: I wasn’t really nervous. It was for Net Video Girls. They had to tell me to be hesitant. I was very excited but they had to tell me to act like I didn’t know what I was doing. So, I wasn’t really that nervous. I was more excited than anything.
CJ: What’s your favorite position?

So, I would say it hasn’t been hard just getting used to the fact that I can book my own work and feeling it’s ok to bug these directors. You can not be scared. I think that was just a little hurdle I had to get over.
CJ: If you weren’t in porn, what would you be doing right now?
Haley: I probably would still be stripping because the money was so good. I could just see myself still doing that. I already know from my time in college that I didn’t want to work at a corporate job.
CJ: What have you learned about yourself sexually since you started in the industry?
