Gal Ritchie Talks with Captain Jack
I’ve admired Gal’s work in the adult industry for a while now and I was very pleased to finally meet her the night before the Adult Entertainment Expo started. She has made quite an impact in her first year in the industry, so much so that she won Best New Starlet two days after this interview. She is such a sweet girl and it was great talking to her. Captain Jack: Tell me about Gal Ritchie.
Gal Ritchie: I’m from England. I’m from a tiny village. It’s not too bad but the closest city is Brighton. Brighton is really, really fun. It’s very free and nice. I used to dance there and I was a dominitrix for 3 years.
CJ: How old are you?
Gal: I’m 23 years old.
CJ: How long have you been shooting now?
Gal: Almost 2 years. In August, it’ll be 2 years.
CJ: Were you a very sexual person before you entered the industry?
Gal: Yes. Big time. I was always very enamored with strong female characters . I was against the stigma that women should be ashamed of any of that. I was obsessed with woman like that. My mom’s very strong and independent and she embraced that.
CJ: You turned 18, how did you get into dom work?
Gal: I started off doing camming and I had a lot of guys asking me to do a lot more dominant things on-camera with them. I had a guy offer a large sum of money to go and punch him in the face. (laughs) I said, ‘Yeah, ok’. He said I was really good at that and I should consider doing it professionally. I had never heard of a Dominitrix or anything like that before. I did some research and in England, you can work a really good job and train under a Mistress for up to 6 months.
CJ: How did you take the next step into porn?
Gal: I was burned out doing dom work and I was in a very small community and before I did anything, I took a step back and did software engineering. I was employed at big media companies doing decoding and stuff. I did that for about a year. I got very bored and I had always thought about doing porn. I did a lot of research. I research everything before I do it. I looked at who the most successful girls in the industry were like Abella (Danger) or Angela (White) and Spiegler’s name kept coming up. So, I did every piece of research possible on Spiegler and then I contacted him.
CJ: So you never shot porn in England?
Gal: No, never.
CJ: Were you a very sexual person before you got into it?
Gal: Yes! Yes! I was obsessed, absolutely obsessed with porn. My first day when I first worked, being with Charles Dera was crazy. I was a big, big porn fan.
CJ: So, what was your first scene like?
Gal: I was so nervous. I was supposed to be with someone else and then it changed. I ended up being with Charles Dera and I used to watch all of his porn. So, I was really nervous. It was for Team Skeet and it was a stepdad scene. I was really excited that I think the act of taking your clothes off in front of other people takes some getting used to.
