I recently had a chance to interview Dylan Phoenix, thanks to a suggestion from KillBillVol69 on the ADT forums. Dylan was wonderful to talk to, just a well rounded woman who I am thankful that I got to know a little bit. Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that her mother is Ryan Conner, who recently came back to the industry. We talked about that for a little bit and we also touched on how determined Dylan is to make her own identity in the adult industry. From talking to her for about an hour, I think that she has the right attitude, the right look and the right work ethic to be a success! Enjoy!

Captain Jack: Tell me about Dylan Phoenix.

Dylan Phoenix: I grew up in Vegas and am still living here. Growing up, in school, people knew who my mom was and so I had a lot of sexual everything growing up. People thought I was just a nympho and for a while there, I was ‘No, No! There’s no way!’ And then I got sexually active and I said, ‘Yeah, I’m a nympho!’ (laughs)

CJ: When did you find out about your mom’s career?

CJ: What were you feeling? Were you ashamed? Shocked?

Dylan: No, because what I saw when I was younger, I would walk into the editing room and see a naked chick on the screen. CJ: With your mom being in porn, did that influence you one way or the other to get into the industry?

Dylan: I’m 19.

CJ: How long have you been in the industry?

Dylan: I’ve been in the industry for about two months.

CJ: You have a tremendous body. What workout routine do you have?

Dylan: I dance a lot and when I’m not dancing, I do power lifting.

CJ: Geez, I better be careful so you don’t kick my ass.

Dylan: (laughs) No, I keep my weight lower so I don’t intimidate everybody in the gym.

CJ: You said you dance, is that stripping or going out to the club and dancing?

Dylan: I strip.

CJ: When did you lose your virginity?

Dylan: I lost my virginity when I was 15 and it was in a DP with two brothers.

CJ: Holy fuck, ok, you have to explain this. How did this happen?

Dylan: (laughs) I stole my mom’s car to go to this party. It was just one of those things where you’re flirting with someone on the playground. You’re basically invited over and you know what’s going to happen. You know shenanigans are going to go down. Dylan: I work at Palomino, it’s in North Town.

CJ: When you started, did your mother give you any advice?

Dylan: She did. When she realized that I was in love with the industry, the first thing she told me was don’t lose heart, don’t get tired out from it. She knew I was going to get on sets that maybe what I wasn’t used to, people wouldn’t be what I expected. You’re not there for them, you’re there for you, you’re there to promote yourself.

CJ: So what was your first scene like? You were sexually experienced but it’s different with all these people around watching you fuck!

I love their love and lust and rising from your own ashes and recreating yourself. So that I knew automatically was going to be part of my name. And being a tomboy now, I thought it fit better than my real name.

CJ: You said you came close with your sex-ed teacher, what happened?

Dylan: It was like in the movies, where you stay after class because you “need to talk”. I genuinely wanted to talk to him or something so I stayed after. We were flirting and it got so close, I think I was almost sitting on his lap. The bell rang and I had to get to my next class. The problem with that was, was that the next class was one that the Dean would be teaching. I was already on the naughty list with the Dean so he sent me along. CJ: And you never revisited that?

Dylan: No. Once I moved out of my mom’s house, I started not feeling bad about being interested in older guys. I wouldn’t think if I take them home, ‘Oh, is my mom going to hit on him?’ or are they going to hit on her. Once I moved out, I started experimenting and I gravitated towards older men.
