Crystal Chase Talks with Captain Jack
I first interviewed Crystal when she had first started in the industry, about 18 months ago. She has grown up in this industry but is still fairly new. We had a chance to catch up and find out what she’s up to and how things are going. Crystal is just such a sweetheart. I love her work and I lover her personality and how open and honest she is!
Captain Jack: I first talked to you after you had shot 2 scenes. You’re now a seasoned veteran of 1-year!
Crystal Chase: I feel like I can’t call myself a seasoned vet. I still call myself a baby every chance I get. A seasoned veteran is like Angela White.
CJ: Are you happy with your first year?
Crystal: I’m pretty confident in my ability to say my first year went great. The people who I got to work with, the studios, the opportunities I was given and the people that I’ve met, I know a lot of people worked really hard to get those opportunities and to get that in my first year, I’m so sincerely grateful!
CJ: I respect you so much from where you came from. You moved out to LA with just a duffle bag full of clothes. Any regrets?
Crystal: Not at all. There are moments where you think, ‘What am I doing?’ ‘Am I cut out for this?’ Your first year is very difficult. You’re adjusting and you want to be the best, you want to impress everyone, you want to be the most on-time, the most respectful on set, you just want to be an absolute delight and, of course, things happen and you think it might have ruined future opportunities for me. It’s definitely crazy but the lessons I’ve learned from just one year, I wouldn’t trade them for the world!
CJ: You’ve had a rough upbringing. Your parents were toxic, your first girlfriend cheated on you, the guy who recruited you into porn turned out to be an asshole, do you have any friends or mentors in the industry that you can confide in and ask advice?
Crystal: I actually do. I call her my porn mom and her name is Milah Romanov and she’s a professional dominitrix. She’s in Florida but I call her and text her every day. She keeps me up to date on the details of what’s going on in the industry or any kind of support or she can connect me to anyone. She’s the sweetest, most loving and supportive person I’ve ever met in porn. She has a heart of gold and she’s always looking out for performers. She’s an absolute gem. My agent is super helpful too.
CJ: So, after one year, do you have any highlights? Any scenes you’re really proud of?
Crystal: That’s really a difficult question because I’ve had so many highlights. First of all, getting nominated for 4 Fleshbot awards was crazy! There are people who have waited years for these kind of accomplishments and the fact my fans nominated me for 4 Fleshbots, let alone a win for Best New Starlet! I didn’t expect to win, I thought there was no way! I remember when the results came out, I wanted to support my friends because I had some friends nominated. I was looking through and I saw Best New Starlet – Crystal Chase and I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, they actually did it!’ I remember on Discord talking with my fans and they were so happy for me! That was a major highlight and I think also doing my first Brazzers scene. I was a sextra and I was really, really excited. It was my dream to work with Abigail Morris and the fact that I got to work with her was absolutely amazing! I’m really, really proud of that scene. I met Van Wylde before and he’s super down to earth and super kind, one of the best male performers I’ve met in my entire career. I can say with confidence that he’s one of the best. Both he and Abigail are now contract stars for Brazzers. She is one of the most explosive, dynamic performers that I’ve ever met. She is just so full of energy not only in person but also on-camera. Working with so many companies at various times is another highlight.
CJ: Let’s talk more about girls since your are really into them, if you were granted a lesbian showcase, what four girls would you want in it with you?
