Charlotte Sins Talks with Captain Jack

Charlotte is one of the top stars in the industry and I finally got a chance to chat with her! She is a very sexy woman who is very open about her sexuality. Nothing was off-limits and we had a wide-ranging conversation!

Captain Jack: Tell me about Charlotte Sins.

Charlotte Sins: I’m pretty athletic. I grew up playing sports and now I still love to snowboard and hike and spend as much time outdoors as I can. I really love animals; I have a dog of my own and 3 bunnies. I spend a lot of my time volunteering at animal shelters or volunteering with farm animals. I spend so much of my time working but, when I’m not, I try to spend it with animals.

CJ: What kind of sports did you play when you were younger?

Charlotte: I played softball.

CJ: How old are you?

Charlotte: I just turned 29 on August 10. Funny enough, my pornoversary and my birthday fall on the same day because I signed my first porn contract with my first agent on my 23^rd birthday. I shot a little bit before that but I shot independently and I didn’t know what the fuck I was doing. When I finally got representation, I felt I was doing this for real.

CJ: Were you a very sexual person before you entered the industry?

Charlotte: I think I was and I wanted to be more sexual but I just wasn’t having the experiences that I wanted. It was few and far between having good sex or fun sex. Even my early 20s, I wasn’t hitting. I was also in relationships that were pretty open. I was in a polyamorous relationship before I was in porn so I was always in communities that were a little more open or more liberal minded, a little bit more queer. Even though I’m from Utah and that’s a pretty conservative place, I was always friends with people who were a little more open minded. My own parents are not Mormon and so they are also Libertarians in a way and they don’t abide by rules either so it wasn’t super far fetched. I was interested in it and I thought being a porn star was unattainable and then I realized it wasn’t rocket science that if you really want to do it, you can.

CJ: Were you with girls before porn?

Charlotte: Sort of. I don’t really identify with any sexual label. I’ve dated women, I’ve dated more men that women. I’ve found myself more romantically involved with men than women. But I don’t really feel like I need a label to identify. I guess a lot of fans want to know so, sure, I call myself bisexual and I am definitely attracted to women. But I find myself in more relationships with men.

CJ: I was reading your bio. You first got into sex work by selling your panties in college? How did you get into that?

Charlotte: Just the internet, honestly. (laughs) It’s not hard either. I can’t remember where I got the idea from but I saw it on TV. I just googled where to sell your panties and I found a weird community forum like Reddit. It wasn’t Reddit but it was built the same. They had some strict rules on how involved in the community you must be and posting and it was hard to keep up with all their rules. I mean, physically, they can be scary. I also think before I was in porn, I don’t really care what people think about me. If someone makes some rude comments, I block them and move on pretty much. I just thought what’s the worse that can happen to me? I think my biggest fear was the real world aspects of it like if someone would find my address and do something. It scares me a lot more than, ‘Oh no! My naked body is out there!’

CJ: Did you like watching guys jerk off to you?

Charlotte: Yeah, I think that’s definitely hot. I think that there’s something hot about putting yourself on display, having that control over someone, having their full attention. I was just going because I liked school and I liked learning. I was getting a philosophy degree which is fucking pointless. (laughs) I figured I could just finish it out because I had a year and a half left, 4 or 5 months or something like that. I took some time off thinking I would go back but I moved to a different state thinking I would go to college there but then I started making money in this industry. I was thinking of going back to school but it’s so expensive and, again, what is the reason. Maybe one day, I’ll want to pursue my area od education. Who knows? Never say never. It just sucks. I hated college.

CJ: You were webcamming, why did you decide to take the next step into professional porn?

Charlotte: I never really liked camming, to be honest. It was a means to an end. I was living in Utah, I was broke, I hated my job…Camming is really isolating. You’re online late hours, I’m not a night owl, I don’t like being up late, I don’t like sleeping in. I would rather go to bed at 9 and wake up at 5. I was basically camming 5 or 6 days a week between 8pm and 3am. I just had crazy hours. It was such a hustle which is good because it taught me a work ethic and how to build your own business working for yourself. It’s an experience I don’t’ regret but I don’t want to do it again. I was too hard. It was too isolating; I like being around people, I like socializing. I like having my job being a social thing. I like going to set. There’s the crew, the director, you work for somebody, you have a personal encounter. Cammin is really lonely. I think I just started following a lot of cam girls on Twitter and found that a lot of them were also performers. Performing just looked like so much more fun. I don’t know if I was ever into the camming aspect of it. I mean, I’m good at dirty talk and interacting with fans but there’s so much creativity put into it and I was just burned out.

CJ: So, what was your first scene like? You were sexually experienced but it’s different with all these people around. Were you intimidated? Nervous? Turned on?

Charlotte: Not turned on if I’m being honest. It was not hard either. If anything, it was so incredibly underwhelming, I was like, ‘This is it?’ (laughs) I was really not too impressed with it which was probably a good thing. My first scene was a POV scene. The director was the performer. It was one guy and me at a shoot house. It was super underwhelming. It was no set up, just some random new girl website. Honestly, I couldn’t tell you much about it. It didn’t leave much of an impression. (laughs) I think I was chasing the dragon. I know that it could be fun. I know that there are cool things that I could do and try, if I just stick with it. My motto is patience and persistence and anything’s possible so I knew that if I just stuck to it, it would work out. My first handful of scenes were quite boring, unimpressive, just new girl, teen stuff like, ‘I don’t know what a dick is!’ I honestly didn’t really have a lot of fun until I got to shoot for Evil Angel and Brazzers and companies like that. That’s when it really became fucking fun. That was cool and that’s when it started to leave an impression on me.

CJ: For fans that are new to you, what are some of your favorite or best scenes you would recommend?

Charlotte: I guess it depends on what you’re into. I like my feature projects because I put so much into them. You’re getting paid the same amount but you’re there way longer and you’re more into your performance. It’s fun and it’s different so I really encourage the fans to watch the feature stuff. I did a project for Ricky Greenwood and Digital Playground this year that was called Wanted. That was a fun one. I did another one for him back in the day called Grinders, a skateboard movie. That was super awesome. And that was incredible too. It was also a physically taxing one because I did anal outside on a rock by the pool. (laughs) I got kind of fucked up from that one but it was so fun. I really enjoy any of my Kink scenes. Kink.com is one of my favorite companies to work for and I get to try really weird things for them. I did a boy/girl scene for them with Christian Wild that is definitely one of my favorite scenes that I’ve ever done. Also, anything with JP where I get to be suspended or hung from the ceiling. I think that shit is so cool because it’s just different and fun. But, again, it’s so subjective. Some of my fans prefer the intimate scenes that you might find on my OnlyFans. It’s, ‘oh, so this is how Charlotte fucks at home’ or this ‘is how she fucks without the cameras on’. I think what the fans like might be different than what I like. I also love Evil Angel, those are really fun. I think some of my favorites are ones with multiple girls in the scene and we can just get weird with each other. CJ: Who are some of your favorite performers to work with?

Charlotte: I love Ricky so much. I love  Jacky St. James. I feel I’ve been in the industry long enough that I feel that I can call them my friends. These are people that I can have fun with outside of the industry. We can have deeper conversations so I think it’s really cool that these directors that I looked up to in the beginning and I hoped I could shoot with them, now they’re my friends. Those two, I love Pat, I love Chris. I’ve been doing this and worked with so many people that I don’t want to leave anyone out when I get asked these questions. But those are the ones that come off the top of my mind.

CJ: Is there anyone out there that you want to work with but haven’t had a chance to yet?

Charlotte: Jennifer White. I think she is the sexiest woman in the world and I really, really want to work with her. As far as the veterans go, the ones that have been around, super iconic. She’s been an idol of mine; I think she is so hot. And Ivy Lebelle! I love Ivy! I love my other black haired girls and especially the alt girls like Ivy. She’s so sexy and tattooed.

CJ: What’s your favorite position?

Charlotte: Honestly, I think as far as male talents go, I have my favorites but I am at the point now where I really enjoy fucking new guys. I still have my favorites that are always fun to fuck but I do like it when I get a hot new guy that I’ve never met or never worked with before. And as far as women go, a lot of the new girls are a little annoying, I won’t lie, but that’s the same as the freshman/sophomore mentality…we were all annoying when we were 20. I was probably super fucking annoying so I do have some understanding for that. When you’re young, you’re new to porn, you’re just a little bit more insecure or you’re over compensating. There are some phrases that new girls say that you can tell that they’re new. They can be a little too much for me sometimes. I enjoy when I get to work with veterans moreso. New girls are so hot but my choices would be a veteran woman or a new guy.

CJ: What do you like sexually? What gets Charlotte wet?

CJ: You mentioned being dominant before. Are you more dominant than submissive?

Charlotte: I don’t think I’m very submissive, honestly. I do submit in some scenes but I wouldn’t call myself one. I definitely enjoy a bit of control.
