Captain Jack: Tell me about Brooke Barclays.
Brooke Barclay: I grew up in Gilbert, Arizona, and am basically still here now. I’m a second-generation Arizona native. After living all over Phoenix Metro, I came back to my old stomping grounds due to the family atmosphere and safety the East Valley provides.
Gilbert was a pretty small town back when I grew up, so I spent a lot of time playing outside, riding bikes, playing in the citrus groves, cow tipping, getting into trouble in the desert, and spending time at the Club with my family.
From age five onward my life was all about dance. I’m classically trained in ballet and tap while being excellent at musical theatre, contemporary, hip-hop, and lyrical. I spent my early years traveling nationally for competitions, performances, master classes, and whatnot. Band and drama were a huge part of my life as well.
I graduated at the top of my class in high school and got a full-ride scholarship to Arizona State University. After I graduated I owned a bar and then went back to get a Master’s Degree. I’ve owned some businesses and ventures in between, and really just led a normal life. I’ve led a really boring life actually, although everyone says that is not the case.
My parents were super strict Catholics and I basically grew up with all these insane rules and regulations so I still have this structed, type A personality, with a streak of wildness. Very wild. I guess that’s why we are talking right now.
CJ: I’ve talked to figure skaters who competed in the Olympics and I know how the kids train from like 6 am-8 pm or something obscene like that. Is that the way dance was like for you?
Brooke: Oh yeah. Every day after school, I was off to the studio by 3:30-4 pm and dancing until 9 or 10. I was dancing or competing on weekends. I had no friends and no life. In high school, I often ate lunch in the bathroom by myself.
That was my life—I was such a dork. My friends were at dance and they didn’t go to my school as I was in public school. I really didn’t get to do the stuff most kids do because I was so busy training and competing.
I also wasn’t allowed, but that’s a whole different interview.
CJ: How old are you?
Brooke: I just turned 40 in November.
CJ: How long have you been shooting now?
Brooke: Two years. But I took a year off because I didn’t really know if this was a path I wanted to go down. I really needed to think about it and get with the right agency. Andre and Jonathan at Nexxxt Level are too good to be true so I decided to get back into the industry last August.
CJ: You have some nice D’s. Are they natural?
Brooke: Oh no!! I bought them when I was 19. I bussed tables at a restaurant one summer to earn money outside of my bartending job to get boobs while I was in college. Brooke: I did. Bartending was easy and quick cash for me which was required in college. It also allowed me to engage with people in conversations, I’m a huge people person and find them fascinating. I owned a nightclub off Mill Avenue for almost 10 years. It was so wild and I was sober for all of it because, you have to be, as that’s my business! But oh my gosh, the wild stuff that went on, Tons of wild stuff! Mind-blowing stories! We used to have famous rappers come to perform, famous DJs, and other guest appearances. It really turned into this amazing venture and I am so grateful to have been able to be a part of it. Talk about when opportunity meets preparedness—that is exactly what happened!
CJ: Tell me a wild story from back in the day!
Brooke: There was an orgy in the women’s bathroom and God only knows what they were doing and the next thing you know, it was on fire. Wild, and completely insane. I can’t really disclose more details due to confidentiality but trust me, every weekend there was some sort of wild shenanigans occurring.
CJ: You were also featured on MTV?
Brooke: When I was in college, I did an episode or two of Room Raiders and some dating show. Also, a pilot for Sorority girls or Greek life or something, but I can’t remember the name. And no media footprint either so that stinks.
They used to come to campus all the time and recruit and film. It was so wild back then that I can’t even believe we did this. You would just give them your phone number and they would just show up to your dorm or apartment and just randomly film stuff. Like with Room Raiders, I remember they were in my condo for 3 hours filming all this stuff.
And I never got paid and I don’t even know if it aired because social media was really just for the BIG 10 and PAC 10 schools back then-Facebook. It was just a different world back then. You never signed anything or got paid, or updated, it was just crazy.
I also tried out for the Bachelor and Bachelorette but sadly never made it on the show. It’s for the best though. That would have been a trainwreck.
CJ: Why did you decide to get into professional porn?
Brooke: My husband and I would film and we used to have a PornHub channel. I can’t believe I am disclosing this!!! We started doing it for fun and we would have a lot of fun dressing up and doing different scenarios.

CJ: You’re a mom, what thought process did you have to go through because of your daughter?
Brooke: When I first shot with Hot MILFs Fuck, it was July of 2022. They did it and it was out on the internet and a lot of my friends saw it. Everyone saw it! I really thought to myself that I had to make a conscious choice about this and, if I got into this, would I be able to hold my head high to my daughter and actually talk to her about it in the future.
Also, would it impact growing my family. That’s part of the reason I paused. The answers did not come to me immediately. I needed a good fit with a reputable agency but also, am I really ready to go down this road? Am I ready to be the mom at Dance that the other moms talk shit about or judge? Would I be able to coach or have kids over to my home? Such big questions with no answers.
My social circle is very small too and that’s always been a concern. It really came down to the fact that the more research I did about the industry, the more I realized this is more regulated than most fields. You’re tested every two weeks, you’re giving IDs, there are consent conversations, and everything’s on video. You’re doing video consents, your work is brokered by agents who are licensed and bonded.
The more research I did, the more I thought, this is a real job, this is a real profession. No, I’m not going to have any shame and if people find out and they want to judge, I’m just going to let the chips fall where they may. And if I have to have a conversation with anyone in my life—my kids, my parents, a sibling, partner, business partner, whoever—that’s what I’ll say.
Name me another industry that is this constantly regulated. I pay taxes and I’m not hurting anyone. I sleep just fine knowing that at the end of the day, I strive to be the best wife/mother/daughter/friend I can be and porn has nothing to do with that.
CJ: So, what was your first scene like? You were sexually experienced but it’s different with all these people around. Were you intimidated? Nervous? Turned on?
Brooke: Oh my gosh! So nervous! I’m not a drinker at all and the whole time, I thought, ‘I could use a shot!’. I was so nervous and usually I don’t get nervous at all as sex has been such a huge part of my adult life. It was because there were all these cameras and there were 5 people in the room and they tell you what positions to get in and all that. It felt weird. I was so self-conscious the entire time too.
